Deadline for Tuition Assistance applications is March 12, 2010. The Mater Dei Catholic High School tuition assistance program is based on the generosity of benefactors. The funds available for financial assistance vary from year to year. It is Mater Dei Catholic High School’s desire to assist those in need whenever possible. No student is guaranteed tuition assistance. Tuition assistance, if awarded, is given for one year and requires the performance of assigned work-study hours by the parents and/or student receiving it. All required documentation and application fees must be submitted each year. For availability and application deadline, please contact the MDCHS Business Office. The registration/book rental fee for students MUST BE PAID before an application for tuition assistance can be received. The student must maintain a minimum of a 2.0 GPA and have excellent citizenship at all times to qualify for financial assistance.TUITION ASSISTANCE is given for one year only. The amount of aid that is given is related to the financial need of our families. The need must be documented, and a financial aid form accompanied by completed tax returns are necessary each year. The forms will be made available to accepted families beginning in March each year. Please check with the Business Office for availability and deadline information. Tuition charges cover approximately 80% of the real cost of education. Gifts from individuals, foundations, corporations, and alumni cover the rest of the costs. In a sense, every student starts Mater Dei Catholic with a hidden scholarship of approximately $1,000.
