Ilse is an outstanding volleyball player and student. She strives to better herself in practice and games 100% of the time. She has shown herself to be a leader on and off the court. She upholds all the positive qualities a coach asks of their players. Ilse has finished the season as the team leader in kills, aces, and games played, 77 of 77 games.  Ilse exemplifies what being a lady crusader is all about.

Jenny Borck

Jenny has led our team by her setting examples for her teammates to follow. She has never missed a match or practice, whether it was individual or team. She leads the league with a 26-1 win/loss record that earned her the #1 seeding in the league singles playoffs. Jenny always congratulates her opponent by clapping her racket to her hand whenever they hit a winner and says "Great Shot!" Jenny understands the concept of being a team player and has made personal sacrifices if her coaches ask her to play down to benefit the team.

Junior Fernanda De La Parra is in her third year of golf at Mater Dei Catholic.  She has been a consistent player all year and can always be depended on to be one of the low scorers on the team.

Jacob's steady play has led the Crusader defense all year. His big hits are a staple every Friday night. Jacob has also contributed on offense with big play skills at receiver. Jacob leads the team in tackles as well as bone-crushing hits.

Assael Madrigal is a dynamite leader and athlete. His combined dedication, sportsmanship, and performance instills the team with strength and spirit. Assael is an inspiration to many runners on the team.

Mark Laturno

Mark is a 6'2 goalie who anchors the aqua-crusaders stingy defense. Mark has lead the aqua-crusaders to a 15-7 overall record and an 8-1 league record. Mark averages 16 saves a game and has pitched two shutouts against league opponents. Mark carries a 3.4 gpa and is involved in many honors classes. After Mater Dei, Mark aspires to move on to a Division 1 college and continue his water polo career.
