We act as members of the global community to promote peace and justice
Students at MDJDA aren’t immersed in this dual language program just to become bilingual. Students see one another as a family – one community coming together regardless of border, address or language spoken at home. We believe exposing children to multicultural learning gives them a global perspective, and this is especially important when living in a border town. Families need to feel welcome on campus and language should not be a barrier to contributing to the school. In addition, the site will focus on raising the capacity of all families on the Dual Immersion Model to better understand their students’ education.
