Track & Field
Our MDCE Track and Field program serves to facilitate students through physical training and teach them the fundamental and technical skills of running and movement, such as sprinting, mid-distance, long-distance, jumping and more. Our season will take place between September and November, and all grades are welcome from K-8. The students will be separated into three groups: Grades K-2, Grades 3-5, and Grades 6-8. Track and Field requires a minimum of 10 participants for there to be a team. The goal is to hold two track meets for our students during the season so that they may experience track and field competition.
If you have additional questions, please contact the Athletic Director at rsmith@mdjda.org.
MDCE’s Athletics Program provides our students the opportunity to participate in a variety of after-school sports programs to develop their motor skills, sport-specific fundamentals, and a better understanding of sportsmanship and cooperation through a team environment.
