Summer School
We are delighted to inform you that our Summer Program this year will be five weeks long. It will run from June 14 to July 15, 2022.
All young people experience learning issues when they do not engage in educational activities during the summer. It doesn’t have to be this way. Enroll your child in Summer School and they will continue to receive instruction to fill any gaps in learning and minimize summer learning loss. Summer school is also a great opportunity to accelerate learning, especially providing opportunities to learn—and use—both English and Spanish. Summer School will reinforce, enhance, and advance important skills in math and reading in both languages..
Choose From the Following Programs
This year we are excited to offer a fully in-person academic and enrichment program. Based on numbers, cohorts will be created across grade level bands. Students entering 6th-8th grade, will participate in a Middle School Summer Program. Please note that we must have at least 10 students in a grade level band to be able to run the program.
The Academic Program includes three core subjects: English Language Arts, Spanish Language Arts, and Mathematics. Based on enrollment, students will be grouped into grade level bands (ex. 4th and 5th grade together) and rotated through the three classes. Teachers will differentiate learning to ensure the needs of each student are met.
To balance the academic program, summer enrichment will provide activities for children to have fun each day through Art, Science, Music & Movement, Sports, etc. Keeping in mind the summer theme “Around the World”, students will be immersed in extending their knowledge beyond the classroom into various activities.
There will be a non-refundable registration fee of 50.00 for the Summer School Academic and Enrichment Programs. Registration and payment fees will be done online. Once classes begin, refunds will not be granted. You will receive more information as soon as the site is ready to open. Full payment is due on or before June 3, 2022. Payment plans are not available due to the short time we will be in session.
